San Francisco Crown & Crumpet is Now Closed
We are so sorry to say that after twelve years in our little spot in the New People Building in Japantown we have had to close our doors. We all know that change is always occurring in San Francisco and we must move and pivot to keep up. We realized that in this last year its been pretty tough in lots of different ways and that having our other location in Ross, Marin County has been terrific so we have decide to concentrate on the expansion of that location.
We sincerely thank all our devoted guests who have supported us over the last sixteen years here in San Francisco, first in Ghiradelli Square and then here in Japantown. Lots of you lovely folks have ventured to Ross and given us a try and are loving it as its a beautiful spot with a large garden, a retail shop, expanded indoor dining and a delightful drinks menu with a plethora of delish champagne cocktails. We also have amazing coffee and morning pastries available and in a few weeks we will be open on Mondays so Afternoon Tea will be available seven days a week again!
We will be hosting a fabulous Estate Sale on the mezzanine of the The New People Building throughout the month of October and into the beginning of November. We will have a delightful array of antiques, props, smalls etc..from the world of Crown & Crumpet and from our retail and antique businesses. This is no ordinary Estate Sale ! We have super cool things at very reasonable prices so come on down starting Friday, October 11th! We will update information via Instagram and here and in an email blast. Once again, our many thanks to all of you Crumpeteers for your love and support, we could not have lasted this long with out you! But.. please remember, we are still here and having a great time creating amazing British Afternoon Tea experiences, catering, parties and fun holiday extravaganzas for you so don’t forget about us!

Etiquette Classes for 2024!!
HOORAY AT LONG LAST!
It’s is the perfect time to refresh your ability to show what excellent manners you or your children have lurking in their repertoire of good behaviour. Why do we even bother with Etiquette and having good manners anyway? You may well ask, well we can tell you.. it’s all about consideration for other people’s feelings! Frankly, having Afternoon Tea after learning so much useful information is the perfect way to reward yourself when taking one of our classes!
We are offering classes for children from the age of 7 to 13 years old at both locations. We can also customize a group class as long as you have a minimum of four participants. The price of the class includes an hour of instruction and Afternoon Tea with more information coming at you during tea time. Each child will also receive a PDF of all the information they have just learned, a fun certificate to show their completion of the class and a party favour to take home.
Should there be any adults out there who need a refresher get in touch and we can make that happen too!
Outdoor dining at Ross Cafe!
We are most fortunate to have a lovely little garden patio in Ross where you can make a reservation to dine in with us. We also have a park-let in the front that is perfect for a quick coffee and a snack. As you can imagine, there are a lot of tea-loving folks, so booking a table for your visit is a must. We also have
limited dining indoors too! Exciting news to come in is that in the spring as we are able to expand our garden to have more tables and space. Start by making a reservation here.
